Change your vocabulary to change your mindset

Sometimes the simple change of one word for another in your vocabulary can make all the difference. During my daily reading of the book Trust Life: Love Yourself Every Day with Wisdom by Louise Hay, she recommends changing the word 'Should' to 'Could.' So, I am passing this recommendation on to you in today's video.


The change of one word can change your entire way of thinking. Should, implies that you must do it or that you don't have any choice but to do it. Could, on the other hand, suggest that there is a choice and we all have options in everything we do every day. We could choose to go to the gym, or we could choose to sit on the couch and binge-watch shows. We could choose to eat a salad for dinner, or we could choose to go out for a burger. Do you see the difference?


I have already worked to change the word 'If' to 'When' in my vocabulary. I may slip occasionally, but I have actively changed this, which has made a huge difference in my mindset. Now I will change my 'Should's' to 'Could's.' Will you?
