How do you end your day?

Ending your day with a journal entry expressing gratitude for the day will give you a peaceful night's sleep. I don't know where I read it, it might have been in 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne, but you should always end your day being grateful, just as you started your day. I learned it was best to not just say it out loud to the universe but to journal it. You can write a list of all the things you are grateful for, do a standard journal entry, or even better, write a letter to the universe, your guides, or your soul self. I choose to write a letter to the universe. The key is to make it 2 - 3 pages. The more you write, the more you get answers from the universe to what you are writing.

It isn't always easy to write when you have had a bad day, or things aren't going as planned. But if you are like me, you have to get the feelings out so that you can let them go and move into a higher vibration to be grateful again. I have learned to state the things that hurt me during the day in a positive lesson-like manner. For example, yesterday, I received multiple messages that I must focus on my spiritual journey, my daughter, and my career over everything else. I had other thoughts in mind, so it hurt to know I couldn't have it all. As I wrote my journal entry, I worded it as; I know there is a lesson here, even if I don't see it now. Please help me let go of what I want and continue to follow your lead to get to where I am supposed to be. Thank you so much for the lessons today and along the way. They will make me stronger and more connected to you.

Another benefit of writing things down is that it slows your thinking down as you write each word much slower than you say or think them. As you slow down, you can gain insight into your gratitude and determine if you need to expand on it, rephrase it more positively if you are working through a lesson, and hear the answers. Now, I don't mean you listen to a voice. Instead, you intuitively hear the answers you need if you are paying attention. Do you know the saying, "lightbulb moment"? Well, those lightbulb moments or epiphanies are messages directly from your soul self and soul group helping you along the way. Some people call them downloads. Either way, it is a corresponding answer from the universe helping you move forward.

I hope this is helpful to you. I would love to hear if you have other ways to end your day with gratitude.
